Portable system for remote detection and suppression of radio-controlled (improvised) explosive devices
GENERAL PURPOSE:
- Monitoring of traffic routes, terrains, and facilities for detection of improvised explosive devices (IED electronic control systems) in the course of engineer reconnaissance
- Use as part of an engineer reconnaissance patrol
ADVANTAGES:
- Possibility of protecting an engineer reconnaissance patrol's crew with a broadband barrage jamming is provided
- Capable to disrupt the radio control channel of a detected IED
- The synchronous operation of IED detection and disruption means in a single portable device is implemented for the first time
The improvised explosive devices detection range is up to 30 m.
The objective of simultaneous operation of a radio-controlled explosive devices jammer and a nonlinear junction detector is achieved.
